Richard Woodhead – Chairman & Managing Director
In 1994 Richard was one of the founders of a specialist boutique legal firm practicing in property and construction law, thus creating the GPS Group. Richard is a former Solicitor and has had over 25 years industry experience particularly in the areas of construction, finance, litigation and insolvency law. His background ranges from advising his own property based clients to leading companies he owns through complex contract negotiations, acquisitions, sales and corporate governance. Richard’s legal background is a great asset to the company and gives GPS a depth of understanding and application to this important facet of the business.
Funds Raising & Investor Services
Bruce Atkinson – Director
Bruce has been Funds Manager since 2000 and an Authorised Representative under the Act since 2002. During this time, he has been responsible for all fund raising activities within the GPS Group including compliance, financial reporting, advertising and promotions. Prior to joining GPS, Bruce had over 20 years experience within the banking and finance industry having occupied senior positions with several Australian banks and financial institutions.
Loan Services
Justin Millard – B.Bus (Acct), Grad.Dip Proj. Mgt, MAIPM, AAPI - Lending Manager
Justin joined GPS in May 1998 and is GPS Lending Manager, assessing all mortgage applications. Justin had previously spent seven years with one of Australia's major banks, predominantly in the area of lending to the banks higher net worth clients. He also brings 2 years experience as a senior manager with a state wid
Justin specialises in the area of loan assessment including financial and property analysis. In conjunction with our independent quantity surveyors, valuers and other external consultants, Justin has supervised in excess of $100 million in construction projects over the past two years. He is currently undertaking his Masters Degree in Project Management, is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management, and an Associate of the Australian Property Institute.
Administration
Karen Tait - Administration Manager
Karen assists the Lending Manager in all areas of assessment and management of mortgage applications along with day to day administration of loans. Karen is also responsible for our Settlements Department. She holds a Certificate III in Financial Services.
Karen is also the Administration Manager of GPS and has been with the firm since November 1993. She ensures the smooth running of our office and day to day management of our accounting section.
Tina Orley - Assistant Funds Manager
Tina assists Bruce with investor processing and enquiries.
She has extensive experience in office clerical duties which she obtained over her 22 years of working in various industries.
